Sheet Snapshots

Scheduled backups for Google Sheets — and a restore button that actually works.

Sheet Snapshots is a Google Sheets add-on that automatically copies your spreadsheet on a schedule, stores each copy in a dated archive inside your own Google Drive, and lets you restore any single tab back into the live sheet when someone breaks it. It requests access to the specific spreadsheets you choose to back up and to the Drive files it creates for those backups — nothing else in your account, and nothing is ever sent to servers outside Google.

Google's version history is not a backup

• • It disappears with the file. Delete the spreadsheet, lose the history.
• • It is all-or-nothing. You cannot recover one tab without rolling back everything.
• • It lives inside the same file, so there is no separate dated archive to hand an auditor.
